If Any Man Is Thirsty, Let Him Come To Me And Drink

Thinking about all the reasons we have for praising our LORD.

If Any Man  Is Thirsty,  Let Him Come  To Me  And Drink
Without water,  we die.     Our body even tells us  when we need water.     We get that thirsty feeling  that we all recognize,   so we head  for the nearest source  of good water.     When our thirst is quenched,  we feel so much better  and refreshed.
It is the same for our spiritual needs.     We get that awful  empty feeling  of needing God  in our lives.     We know  deep down inside  that if we don’t get God  in our lives,  we’re surely going  to die eternally.     And,  we’re right.     Without God  in our lives,  we will die eternally.     But,  where can we get God?     How can we get God  to fill up our lives  and make us  live eternally?
There are many invitations  throughout God’s word — the Bible — where God asks us  to come  to Him  for the spiritual life  we need.     One passage is  John 7:37,  where Jesus says,
If any man  is thirsty,  let him come  to Me  and drink.
Any and every one,  who feels a need  for God  in their lives,  is invited  to go to Jesus.     Jesus will give them the spiritual words  of eternal life,  so that we are refreshed  and satisfied,  as we are filled up  on the promises  of God — the gifts  of His grace.     Jesus did not set up any prerequisites  for being able  to get a refreshing spiritual drink  from Him.     He did not say  that we first  have to do  a bunch of good works  and change our lives around.     To the contrary.     Jesus just said,  “If  any man  is thirsty,  let him come  to Me  and drink.”     We just have  to be  in need  of getting close  to God.
Having our spiritual thirst quenched  is ours — just for the asking.     We need to be  going to Jesus  and  asking Jesus.     He alone  is the only one  who can truly quench  our spiritual thirst.     In John, chapter 4,  Jesus gave this same invitation  to the Samaritan woman  at the well.     He told her in John 4:14,
Whoever drinks  of the water  that I shall give him  shall never thirst;  but the water  that I shall give him  shall become  in him  a well  of water  springing up  to eternal life.
When we drink in  the words  of God  in the Bible,  God refreshes our spirits  with His Spirit,  so that we can believe  and be saved eternally.     Then, as we go through  the trials  of our lives,  we will always be strengthened and refreshed  with the faith  God  has planted  in us.     We will be depending  on God  to get us through  each experience — instead of depending  on ourselves.     God alone  is able  to lead us through.
Then,  when our life here  is over,  we will be  with our Lord and Savior  forever — and it will be said  of us,  as in Revelation 7:16-17,
They shall hunger  no more,  neither thirst  any more,  neither shall the sun beat down  on them,  nor any heat;  for the Lamb  in the center  of the throne  shall be their shepherd,  and shall guide them  to springs  of the water  of life;  and God  shall wipe  every tear  from their eyes.

CARLOS SLIM HELU

In 1902, Julián Slim Haddad, father of Carlos Slim Helú, arrived in Mexico from Lebanon, all alone and 14 years of age, speaking no Spanish. He was escaping from the yoke of the Ottoman Empire, which at the time conscripted young men into its army; mothers therefore sent their sons to exile before turning fifteen.

And thus Don Julián arrived in Mexico; he was a young man, energetic and full of enthusiasm and ideas, who after disembarking in Veracruz, moved to Tampico, Tamaulipas, where four of his older brothers had already settled since 1898 (José, Elías, Carlos and Pedro Slim) with the conviction that they would succeed together with the country that had received them.

Carlos Slim's mother, Doña Linda Helú, was born in Parral, Chihuahua. She was the daughter of José Helú and Wadiha Atta, Lebanese immigrants who arrived in Mexico at the end of the 19th century, and after traveling through several cities in the Mexican Republic, decided to settle in the capital city. José Helú brought the first Arabic printing press to Mexico and founded one of the first magazines for the Lebanese community in this country.
The Slim brothers later moved to Mexico City and in 1911, Julián Slim and his brother José, who was thirteen years older than him, founded the company La Estrella de Oriente (“the Star of the East”), so named in honor of their country of origin. The partnership was formed with 25,800 pesos, each of them contributing 50 percent. In May 1914, in the midst of the Mexican Revolution, Don Julián, then 26 years old, bought his brother’s fifty percent stake for 30,000 pesos.
La Estrella de Oriente was an important dry goods store located on Calle de Capuchinas (today Venustiano Carranza); that, over time and with Don Julián’s extraordinary work ethic and business talent, had merchandise worth more than US$100,000 by January 21, 1921, only ten years after the business was founded. By that time, Don Julián had also acquired eleven more properties in the area, which was one of the most commercial, active and significant in downtown Mexico City, and therefore in the country. The current value of the store would be more than US$7 million today, and the real estate would be worth around US$28 million.

By 1922, Don Julián’s net worth was already $1,012,258 pesos between real estate, businesses and various stocks.
In August 1926, Julián Slim and Linda Helú married in Mexico City. Their first daughter, Nour, was born four years later, and Alma two years after that, followed by Julián, José, Carlos and Linda.
With his intelligence and tenacity for work, Don Julián Slim Haddad would become a prominent businessman and the father of an exemplary family who was able to instill in his children both moral values and the dedication to and familiarity with work.
The reasons for Don Julián Slim Haddad’s commercial success were simple: a calling, talent and hard work. Don Julián’s thinking was ahead of his time, given his deep understanding of business; by the 1920s he was already talking about an efficient business as one that sold large volumes at smaller margins, and with payment facilities, factors that today prevail in the large discount stores.
In 1927, when Mexican migration policy ceased to be favorable for many foreigners and Lebanese, immigration was restricted, Don Julián Slim, who served as president of the Lebanese Chamber of Commerce for almost 20 years (from 1930 until it was disbanded at the end of the 1940s), successfully filed a lengthy and well-researched legal brief with the Department of State that described the activities and characteristics of his fellow countrymen and defended their rights. Thanks to this, there was a favorable resolution for these immigrants. A part of this document reads as follows: “Lebanese are characterized by their work, their economy, their simplicity, how easily and quickly they learn the language of the countries they go to and in which they live peacefully, especially in places like México that maintain a sacred commitment to personal independence and love of the homeland”.
During his leadership of the Chamber, he conducted a census of all Lebanese businessmen in Mexico and actively participated with them in the Nationalist Campaign of the 1930s, whose objective was to promote Mexican industry by buying and consuming made-in-Mexico products, with the aim of benefiting trade, employment and national development. The motto of the campaign was “consume what the country produces.” Although this campaign had the support of the President of the Republic (Pascual Ortiz Rubio) it did not cost the country’s federal treasury a penny because the various chambers of commerce contributed the resources to disseminate and promote it. The campaign always advocated the excellence of Mexican products and for an increase in the country’s exports. Don Julián’s participation was especially active, important and dynamic in this important movement and it proved his extraordinary capacity to assimilate to the culture of a country that he assumed and defended as his own. During that period he requested and finally obtained Mexican nationality.

The Relator Committee of Ejército de la Revolución acknowledges Don Julián Slim, Mr. Carlos Slim's father. Don Julian was awarded Honorific President of the Ejército de la Revolución in 1937 because of his commitment to Mexico and its institutions.
Carlos Slim Helú was born on January 28, 1940 in Mexico City, where he learned from early on the value of family as a priority in life.
He also received his first business lessons in early childhood, as Don Julián gave each of his children a savings book with their usual weekly allowance in order for them to learn to manage their income and expenses. They reviewed this book with him, analyzing their expenses, purchases and activities, and by following this rule Don Julián’s children managed their finances and developed their own wealth. From that time investment and savings were part of young Carlos’s life, becoming his first lesson in business, which he soon put into practice by opening his first checking account and buying shares of Banco Nacional de México when he was only 12 years old.
With his parents and five siblings, Carlos Slim Helú grew up in a close, loving family that taught by good example, but in 1953 Don Julián died suddenly, deeply affecting the Slim Helú family; it was a sad and unexpected emotional blow that left a noticeable mark in the home. Carlos was only 13 years old.

Carlos Slim Helú studied Civil Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (known by its Spanish acronym UNAM) School of Engineering, where he also taught Algebra and Linear Programming while studying for his degree, meaning that he was both a student and professor.

In 1965, when he was only 25 years old, he began to build the foundations of Grupo Carso. Inmobiliaria Carso was incorporated in January 1966, three months before marrying Soumaya Domit Gemayel, hence the name Carso, which is a combination of the first three letters of Carlos and the first two letters of Soumaya.

Since the 1980s he has been a noted businessman in various industrial, real estate and commercial fields. In 1982, which was a critical time in the history of Mexico with the debt crisis, nationalization of the banking system and the country’s finances nearly paralyzed, Carlos Slim and his Grupo Carso decided to invest heavily and actively. They made diverse investments and acquisitions during this period, one of which was Cigatam, which turned out to be the first and most important because of its cash flow, providing the Group with sufficient liquidity to capitalize on available opportunities and thereby increase itsacquisitions of big companies, including: Hulera el Centenario, Bimex, Hoteles Calinda (today, OSTAR Grupo Hotelero) and Reynolds Aluminio. Some time later the purchase of Seguros de México was closed, and Grupo Financiero Inbursa was formed by integrating Casa de Bolsa Inversora Bursátil, Seguros de México and Fianzas La Guardiana. By 1985, Grupo Carso acquired control of Artes Gráficas Unidas, Fábricas de Papel Loreto y Peña Pobre, and also a majority stake in Sanborns and its affiliate Dennys. In 1986 Minera FRISCO and Empresas Nacobre were acquired, as well as their affiliates, and control of the Euzkadi tire company, the market leader at the time, was also acquired, as was a majority stake in General Tire some years later.

In 1990, the group acquired TELMEX in partnership with SBC and France Telecom, and began a new era of entrepreneurial development in a globally strategic sector. Over the course of 22 years, TELMEX has developed a world-class technological platform that has optimized its processes and strengthened the corporate culture. Over this period of time TELMEX has invested the equivalent of US$27.692 billion in Mexico's telecommunications infrastructure and, combined with operations in Latin America, more than US$33 thousand million.

América Móvil is a good example of value creation for investors. Since 1996, it was a pioneer and global innovator of cellular prepayment systems. In 1990, Radiomóvil Dipsa (today TELCEL) had 35 thousand customers, to June 2012, had 313.1 million of clients in Latin America, 251.8 millions are cellular subscribers, and 30 million fixed lines, and 15.1 millions in broadband, and 11.6 millions of pay TV clients.
Carlos Slim has left most of the boards of his companies, and currently serves as: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Impulsora del Desarrollo y el Empleo en América Latina, S.A. de C.V. (IDEAL); Chairman of Fundación Telmex, A.C.; Chairman of Fundación Carlos Slim Helú, A.C.; Chairman of the Executive Committee of Consejo Consultivo de Restauración del Centro Histórico; and Chairman of Fundación del Centro Histórico, A.C.
Mr. Slim continues to be active in business although his main effort and work is focused on education, health and employment in Mexico and Latin America, through the foundations he chairs and companies in infrastructure arena; his three sons, Carlos, Marco Antonio and Patrick Slim Domit, have taken over the reins of his businesses.
Mr. Slim has lectured at public and private institutions as well as at international organizations such as the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA).
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Altria (previously Philip Morris Companies), and also a Board Member for SBC Communications, Inc., from which he retired in 2004 to devote more of his time to the IDEAL project, Impulsora para el Desarrollo y el Empleo en América Latina, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure, health and education.
He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Mexican Stock Exchange and Chairman of the Mexican Association of Brokerage Firms. He was the first Chairman of the Latin American Committee of the Board of Directors of the New York Stock Exchange.
Carlos Slim Helú and his wife Soumaya Domit de Slim (deceased) had six children: Carlos, Marco Antonio, Patrick, Soumaya, Vanessa and Johanna.

Mr. Slim has a passion for history, art and nature; he is also a great fan of baseball and has written several articles about the sport.

On December 16th, 2008, Engineer Carlos Slim Helu was nominated member of Research and Development Corporation Executive Board, a nonprofit research organization in the United States which offers assessment and solutions about commerce and politics, among other aspects, throughout the world.

The Power Of A Vision

"A man without a vision is a man without a future. A man without a future will always return to his past."
"A knife cuts because it has a narrow focus" (Cleddie Keith).
"A coward dies a thousand deaths, but a brave man dies only once" (Roman soldiers).
"When God predetermined our destiny, He factored in our stupidity. Therefore there's always enough time to finish?"(Larry Randolph)."The level of sacrifice that an environment requires will determine the size of people that will follow" (Kris Vallotton).
A progressive revelation of an ageless revival for our generation is growing in our hearts. It is for those who went before us and for those who are yet to be born. Yet, the question of how the vision is to be implemented remains. One famous Proverb says, "Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law" (Proverbs 29:18). Vision is the bridge between the present and the future. Without it we perish or go "unrestrained," as the New American Standard Bible puts it. Vision gives pain a purpose. Those without vision spend their lives taking the path of least resistance as they try to avoid discomfort. The level of sacrifice that a vision requires will determine the size of people who follow. Sacrifice separates the small from the great.
Consider the example of a young man who has just graduated from high school and joins the military. As soon as he steps off the boot camp bus, the sergeant starts yelling at him. He has to march over to the barbershop and get his head shaved. Then he is up early in the morning to exercise with someone screaming at him and talking about his mother. Just a month before, he was in high school. He would have never put up with any of this nonsense from his teachers or classmates. But somehow his whole mindset has changed. Why? He is enduring the "cross" so to speak, because of the joy on the other side of it. He realizes that boot camp is preparing him for a greater destiny. His vision of the future is giving his present physical discomfort meaning and purpose.
So many of us go through life not understanding the purposes of our trials. We spend our days walking a crooked path, believing that every obstacle in the road is a problem and something to be avoided.
The second part of this Proverb says, "But happy is he who keeps the Law." The law isn't just something God gave to Moses. It is also the restraint, boundaries and disciplines we develop around our life to direct us through obstacles instead of around them. These obstacles become baptisms of fire that forge our character so we can attain and maintain a life of greatness.
WHAT IS VISION?
Vision is what we see, but it is also the way in which we see. Vision is the lens that interprets the events of our life, the way we view people and our concept of God. If we have a scratch on our glasses, it may seem like everybody around us has scratches too, but the problem actually lies with us because our vision is impaired. Jesus said that our eyes are the windows of our heart. Paul prayed that the eyes of our heart would be enlightened. In other words, we perceive with our eyes but we see with our hearts. Our minds receive images from our eyes but our heart interprets these images. If our heart becomes bitter, jealous, hurt or in someway infected, the lens of our heart is distorted. What we perceive is happening and what is really going on could be two completely different things. Jesus said, "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32). The word truth used here is not referring to the Bible itself, (although all truth is rooted in the Bible) but here the word truth means reality. Jesus is saying, you will understand what is real and that will free you. So many of us live in a virtual reality. The way we view life can feel and look real, or make perfect sense, but still not be real at all. Have you ever watched a good movie and gotten totally into it? You experience all the emotions of real life. You may even leave the theater still "feeling" the movie, but it was just a movie? it was never real. The truth is: we see what we believe to be true. Another way to put it is, if you have the wrong pretext you will misunderstand the context. Having a revelation of what is real will deliver us from a life of torment that virtual reality often causes.
ESTABLISHING CORE VALUES
Therefore, the things we believe to be true determine the way in which we interpret life. These "things" are called "core values." Core values are the lens or eyes of our heart. It is important for us to realize the incongruence between what our core values presently are and what we really want them to be. Often, the things we say we believe and the things we actually believe are not the same. We must understand that it is not the truths that we believe in our head that are our core values, but rather the ones we believe in our heart. The things we perceive to be true determine the way we respond to the world around us and to God who lives within us.
These core values also help define the part of the flock that we find ourselves called and attracted to. The children of Israel experienced this principle when they came into the Promised Land. Joshua assigned land to them according to their tribes and divisions (Joshua 18:10). In other words, they received land according to their diverse visions. For instance, if they had a vision for farming, they probably did not go with Caleb to the mountain country but instead were given land that best facilitated their vision. Therefore the land they were given and their vision was congruent. From this perspective, it is not very hard to see how some church splits happen. Sometimes pastors, in their zeal to build their churches, attract people that have a vision for things that their churches or "land" (metaphorically speaking) will not sustain. This dual vision eventually ends up in di-vision.
FORESIGHT, INSIGHT & OVERSIGHT
True Godly vision consists of foresight, insight and oversight that come from His sight. Foresight is like looking at life through a telescope. This outlook allows us to know what is ahead as it connects us to our future. Foresight is the element of vision that helps life make sense and gives us the motivation that we described earlier.
Insight is like viewing life through a microscope. This perception gives us an understanding of why things happen in life. It also helps determine the underlying motivations of the heart.
Oversight puts life into context. It is like flying over our house in a helicopter. There is a perspective that we can only receive from this vista that helps us understand where we are with respect to where everything else is. The sons of Issachar are great examples of this kind of vision. The book of I Chronicles says that these men understood the times and had knowledge of what Israel should do (12:32). People that are blessed with this type of vision often have great wisdom concerning the seasons of life.
His sight assures us that the vision we have is from God. A vision from the Lord creates a mission from heaven. This is illustrated in the life of Moses when he went up on the mountain, received a vision of the tabernacle, and was told to construct it according to the pattern that he had received. (Exodus 24:16-28:43) Visions like this are just "pipe dreams" without some sort of administrative plan to complete them. A lot of people have lofty ideas about things they would like to accomplish for God but they seem to have no sense of how to see the dream fulfilled. There are entire books dedicated to this subject, therefore, I will just give an overview of how to accomplish a vision.
PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION
The first part of accomplishing any vision is to take it from the unseen world and bring it into the natural realm. This can be accomplished by simply writing down the vision. Articulating the vision on paper pulls the dream that is in your spirit (that no one can see but you) into the visible world so that others can capture it in their own hearts. Tools that help to visualize the mission such as architectural drawings, models, testimonies of others who have accomplished similar dreams, or visits to places that have a common purpose are all helpful in capturing and defining the vision for both yourself and others who will come alongside and help. Habakkuk puts it this way: "Then the LORD answered me and said, 'Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay" (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
There is an old story about three bricklayers that helps illustrate what it looks like when people receive motivation from taking ownership of a vision:
There were three bricklayers working beside each other on a wall. Someone came up to the first one and said, "What are you doing" "What;'s it look like I am doing?" he replied sarcastically, "I am laying bricks!" The man asked the next guy on the wall what he was doing. He said,"Can't you see what I am doing? I am building a wall." Then the last man was asked what he was doing. He exclaimed, "I am building a great cathedral for God!"
Who do you think will do the best quality work and be the hardest worker? Vision causes people to love their work because they can see the big picture. Someone once said, "If you want to build a great ship, you can go out and find some talented craftsman or you can find a person who loves the sea." Imparting God's vision to the team around us is the single most important factor in seeing the mission accomplished.
The next step is to create a plan to accomplish the mission. The Bible says, "Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed; the plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD" (Proverbs 15:22 & 16:1). From these two verses we see that although the vision must be from God Himself, men are to help develop the plan that brings about the fulfillment of the vision. Notice how Solomon highlights the fact that developing plans in a vacuum, (without the expertise and insight of others who have different gifts and perspectives than we do), will ultimately end in frustration.
It's important for administrative people to understand that they are there to administrate the mission. The word administrate means, "add-to-the-mission," not change the mission. Visionaries often do not like to work with administrators because by nature administrators are refiners and finishers. Sometimes administrators do not understand that they are being brought in to help visionaries determine how something should be accomplished, not what should be accomplished. If the vision is so large that it requires the help of Heaven (which it often does when it really is from God), it will be important that the visionary impart the vision and the faith to see it accomplished to the team. First Timothy 1:4 says that the administration of God is "by faith."
FEAR COUNTERACTS FAITH
People often disguise their fear as wisdom when they enter into a supernatural mission that can only be accomplished with the help of God. Moses had this problem when he sent the twelve spies in to the Promised Land to determine where they should enter. Ten of the spies misunderstood their mission and somehow thought they were being asked whether or not they should take the land at all.
This type of misunderstanding of the roles people are invited to play in the mission has caused the demise of so many would-be miracles, paralyzing the church of the living God. For years, the people of God have often settled for what can be accomplished by human effort and ability, because we have allowed the opinion of faithless people to determine what we will achieve, instead of being faithful (faith-filled) to the vision we saw "on the mountain". This is a perversion of the gospel of the kingdom. We should never settle for anything less than what God told us to do.
SETTING GOALS
After the plan is established, goals must be set. The Bible says, "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14).
Goals are simply the vision broken down into smaller pieces that are measurable in time and space. In other words, they are specified parts of the mission that we will accomplish by a predetermined date. Many people don't like to set goals because they think that if they are not able to accomplish them on time, they have failed. The truth of the matter is that, "If you fail to plan you plan to fail." Great leaders know that setting goals is what gives the mission a sense of urgency. Urgency is a friend to managers as it sets the pace for those who are carrying out the mission. If wisdom is used in goal setting, very little management is needed to motivate the workers since urgency manages them. However, be careful not to give your workers more to do than they have the faith to accomplish in a given time period. If it is too much, they will not even try, just like trying to catch a bus when it is already a block ahead. You probably won't even run after it, as there is so little possibility of you catching up to it. On the other hand, if the bus just starts to pull away from the curb when you get there, you will probably move out of your comfort zone to try to catch it. Yet, setting goals too low will not create a sense of urgency at all. People will not be very motivated and it will result in a lot more work for the managers.
The final stage of seeing the mission accomplished is establishing your steps. Proverbs says, "The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps" (16:9). Psalms says, "The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the one who holds his hand" (37:23-24). Steps are your day-in, day-out walk with God: the step-by-step, moment-by-moment, hour-by-hour decisions you make and the things you do that take up your time and use up your life. When your vision is honestly birthed by God Himself, He will be delighted to direct your steps. The most important thing to remember about your steps is that they should be found somewhere in your mission. Go back through your planner from the previous month and retrace your steps. Does it look like they are directly attached to your mission? If not, either redefine your mission or redirect your steps. Remember, history is at stake.

PROPHECY WATCH

PROPHECY WATCH

YOUTH FULL OF HOLY PASSION
There is a sound going forth from heaven, says the Lord. I am calling from the north and the south and the east and the west. They're going to move, they're going to change universities to come to these command posts. They're going to change jobs. I'm going to bring the 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds, and they're going to mentor the generation under them. And then the high schoolers are going to mentor the generations under them.

And I would say, these youth are going to put the adults to shame. Because they re going to be full of holy passion, a fiery passion for the Lord. So the Lord says, get ready for I have said many things over the church, and I have made many promises. With some of you, hope deferred has made the heart grow sick. But I have found the way for the church and for this youth, says the Lord. And the Lord says, there is going to be a day when there are as many youth as adults in these command post churches, for I am going to move--I would not pass you by.
And the Lord says I'm going to put the gift of evangelism in the youth of these churches. I'm going to cause them to bring souls, and souls and souls. They're going to invade the high school campuses. They're going to invade the universities of their cities.
And the Lord says, I am calling for an invasion from these churches, from my command posts. And the Lord says get ready, get ready, get ready, for it begins today.

‘’The Lord says to Nigeria, I have given you a missionary spirit and I am surely going to change the nations of the earth through you. But now I will give you the anointing to change your nation. The Lord says I am going to begin to unravel the corrupt system in Nigeria that men will say it is impossible, but I say with God things are possible. There is going to be a revival in the universities and this revival will be of a large magnitude that the revival in the universities will affect the secondary and primary schools. And God will change Nigeria to the next generation and the Lord says ‘’the unity of the leaders is coming. It is going to uproot and dethrone the occult, for I am going to overthrow the occult spirit. And I am going to use Nigerians to heal the rest of Africa because what happens in Nigeria will affect the whole continents’’
(2002 – God’s word to Nigeria – Dr. Cindy Jacobs)

2013: DOMINION CITY CAMP MEETING, LAGOS, NIGERIA – Rev David Ogbueli
“The finishing generation that will fulfill all the prophetic word of God over this nation. These age 30’s down; these young men in the campuses, secondary schools, serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), filling the industries of the nation. God has a huge purpose for your life”.

THE RISE OF THE GENERATION Y
A fresh generation of Africans is rising that will transform Africa. They are the Generation Y; people born in 1980 to date. They are part of the 600 million youths presently living on the African continent whose age is below 30. This is Africa’s breakthrough generation.

1983: BREAKENHURST CONFERENCE, LIMURU, KENYA
The event here was at the Sharing Of Ministries Abroad (SOMA) Evangelical Conference which attracted several Evangelical Bishops and Church leaders from all over the world.
“Africa, I can see the face of Jesus on you, His glory and His radiance. Thus saith the Lord to Africa; though you have been called dark up till now, you shall no longer be called dark, for out of you shall come great light that shall shine to the uttermost parts of the earth”.

1983: FULL GOSPEL BUSINESS MEN’S FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL       (FGBMFI), PORTHACOURT, NIGERIA
Pa S.G Elton spoke prophetically concerning two key African nations saying:
“Africa is like a gun pointed down; its nuzzle is South Africa. Its trigger is Nigeria. Days will come when apartheid (then at its peak in South Africa) will be removed from South Africa. The trigger of the gun of Africa (Nigeria) would begin to fire for God’s purposes.

Junior DeSouza – January 10, 2008.
The days are coming when the New Nigeria will materialize. God will wipe away her shame, cut away her reproach and make her the glory of Africa.
The Lord says, “Watch the flower, watch as I tend this flower; making her the most beautiful in all the meadows of Africa. Have I not set my hand upon her? Is she not mine? You will see the glory of Nigeria as I visit my people there”.

AFRICAN YOUTHS, CATCH AND RUN WITH MY FIRE
Where are the youths?
The Church should begin to raise the youths to hand over to.
A church without youths is a dying Church.
Where are the youths? Raise solid youths
The youths in West Africa, sit not tight.
Go out and salvage your brothers, to the North, East, and South.
Go out, for my time has come and the die is cast.
I have come to equip you for quicker service.
I am releasing a spirit of anger, aggression and fire upon you.
You will be like fire released to engulf that which must be burnt down.
I am releasing you like dynamites. It’s a new season for you.

POWER HAS CHANGED HANDS
Africa is a dazzling star. It is because of her function in the Globe.
She has a great function in the world. There is a shift; a change of power block to Africa.
The tide has change. Pray against African that are wolves.
Africans are judging their own cases now, handling their own affairs.
Many people have peeped into the destiny of Africa and will seek to identify with her.
Shalom to Africa. May the peace of God rest in Africa.

I am strengthening you to take care of Africa.
Be not weary for it is a new dawn for Africa.
Church, arise and thresh! I have put in your hands sickles for the great harvest.
You will plunder the kingdom of your adversary

NIGERIA, BE AN EXAMPLE
Nigeria, I have put on your shoulders the burden for the rest of the African Nations.
Be the light of Africa, for with you, I will change the darkness.
No darkness will be able to comprehend you. I will send you to the dark places where by your appearance; the light will illuminate every darkness. Shine as light and do not allow anything to cover you. Shine, that by your brightness, darkness will be dispelled over the other nations of Africa.
Let Nigeria not fail in her role as the one taking the lead in Africa spiritually, politically, economically, and otherwise.

AFRICA, THE HOPE OF THE WORLD
Pray earnestly for Africa. That Africa will not fail in this season.
She will be an epitome of excellence to the world because I will use her to turn around the face of the world. As a weakling, to confound the strong. As a foolish thing to confound and challenge the wise.

CHURCH, NUTURE AFRICA
There is a new plant springing up in the dry places of Africa.
A green plant shooting out in the areas that were formerly thought to be dry.
I will give life and cause the dry places of Africa to receive water.
Carry Africa like a new born baby and cuddle her. Breast feed her.
Choose the food for Africa that she will not be malnourished.
Dedicate her afresh to God and invoke the will of God upon her.

(culled from “AFRICA’S TIME OF RECOVERY” – Rev Mosy Madugba)

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God
(Psalms 68:31) – This is the Africa mandate.
